I’m starting to believe that growing older is just refusing to believe in white hair and wrinkles, refusing to give up the peace sign and winks, denying that they date me as a millennial, and accepting it’s just another day at work 🤪

I never posted much of Nappeunni on my personal insta because by the time he came into my life, Hakzai had his own IG, so it only made sense that Nappeunni posted on his own IG as well.
He was always my special little guy, so shy, cute, playful, and silly in his own way. I never thought I’d lose him like this 😭 I don’t want to say I have favorites, but Nappeunni needed a lot of love, whereas Hakzai was already very secure. Nappeunni had a lot of special needs, and he infiltrated into my life so much so that it feels empty without him 🥺
He was just a baby, and he has been through so much in life. I know that he is in a better place now, without any pain or anxiety, but I selfishly just miss him so, so much.

• Hubby started making and selling sourdough
• Started going to the gym again
• Went to Vegas
• Attended my fourth @jessemccartney concert
• Hubby reached all platinum on Overwatch
• Sent out my first family Christmas card
• Took our engagement photos post legal-marriage

Things for this year
• Hopefully finally having our wedding
• Hopefully landing a full time job
• Hopefully hubby lands a full time job
• Hopefully weening off coffee addiction
• Hopefully maintaining a good gym schedule
• Hopefully regaining my flexibility
• Hopefully visit Hong Kong and Korea with hubby
• Hopefully hubby reaches Diamond in Overwatch
• Take on more events for with love, sharon LLC
• Capture meaningful moments!
• Attend concerts and fun activities
• Spend more time with friends and family
• Celebrating more!
• Learning and trying new things
• Getting back to podcasting

Happy anniversary of leaving the struggles of sickness and the world, Daddy 🥰 after all of these years of celebrating and honoring you “around Mother’s Day”, it’s finally circled back to celebrating you on the holiday, proper. ❤️

This year has kind of been a wild one; officially cleaving your surname from my legal name was hard - as though I was ripping out the one thing I have left of you from my life. But I know that what you wanted more than anything was to give me away under the care of a loving man, and for me to honor my new family with him. You are always my Daddy, the man who showed me how a man should love his family, the hard work that he should put into it. You showed me what kind of man I should marry, and that is just what I’ve done. I know you’d be glad to call him your son-in-law. You’ll have the best seat saved for our wedding day, and though you can’t walk me down the aisle in person, I know you’ll walk me down the aisle in spirit. ❤️

It’s been a few months since I’ve embarked on this journey of being a business owner, and while there’s still a lot to do and more to learn, I have been so blessed by learning how to have a (much) more clear vision on what work-life balance is.

While I’m still very busy, it’s been great having a moment to breathe in the fresh, sulfuric air at the tar pits, and admire the loud quietness of sunset. God’s creation is beautiful - and He created us not just to have joy in labor, but also to rest in Him, and seek Him for Sabbath. I’m blessed to have people come alongside me and reminding me to treasure His Goodness and His design for us 🥰

Love is like an investment. It’s a risk, and if you hold on, you might have an even better return. But on the flip side, it might also keep going downhill from there, until you’re left with nothing but shambles of who you once were, and no choice but to withdraw. Even worse yet, it teases us when we see someone else take hold of this moment and invest, and it irks and breaks us when they’re able to succeed and profit from an investment that we pulled from.

The harsh reality is that it’s all just timing, not proof that we failed. Just as flowers bloom in only the right season, love will find its way at the right time. There is reason for the wait, even if it’s not what we want 🌸

“You’re in your twenties, you should be getting a boob job and get a nutritionist so you can look hot. Look at you. You keep looking for men who are better than you. Of course you get cheated on. No one owes you anything. Look how lazy you are. Girls like you need to find a 300lb loser who can’t get anyone else.” - name censored, single 40 year old man.
