Why Thank You?

To be honest, "Happy Birthday" cards or "Hello" cards are probably more practical for card makers. Birthdays happen to everyone once a year, and they may receive multiple of them, and "Hello" cards can be sent whenever. However, I made "Thank You" cards for the very reason that they are not used enough. We are called to have thankful hearts and to"give thanks in all circumstances; for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus for you", but we are oftentimes so consumed with other feelings, or we are so quick to use other words to replace our thanks (1 Thessalonians 5:18)

I am a sporadic apologizer. I will apologize for the hot weather, that you don't have a coat when it's cold, or even that somewhere far, far away, someone's pencil broke. Do I believe that everything is my fault? Not really. I can't control the weather, force you to bring a coat, or make pencils less prone to breaking. It's simply not in my power. Someone challenged me, using this cartoon, that instead of saying sorry all the time, try to think of ways to say thank you.

*This cartoon is not mine. It is drawn by NY based, Chinese illustrator Yao Xiao.

And because of this, I want to challenge you to say "thank you" more, as well!
